AI Mentions
Mention @d6e in any channel or thread to ask questions, request data analysis, or trigger workflows using natural language. The bot reads thread history for context, so it understands the conversation flow.
Slash Commands
Use /d6e commands to quickly set up your workspace connection, configure channels, and manage your D6E integration.
File Sharing
D6E can generate and share files directly in Slack — reports, exports, and processed data delivered right where you work.
How D6E works in Slack
Here's exactly what triggers the D6E bot to send messages in your Slack workspace and how it interacts with your team.
Responding to @d6e mentions
The bot only responds when someone mentions @d6e in a channel or thread where it has been configured. It reads your message, processes it using AI, and replies in the same thread. The bot also reads earlier messages in the thread for conversation context. It does not monitor or respond to any other messages.
Slash command responses
When you type /d6e followed by a subcommand (e.g., /d6e setup, /d6e status, /d6e help), the bot responds with configuration information visible only to you (ephemeral messages). Successful configuration changes are posted to the channel. These commands are used for setup and administration only.
Scheduled workflow messages
If you create a scheduled workflow using /d6e schedule add, the bot will automatically post the workflow result to the configured channel at the scheduled time (e.g., daily, weekly, or at custom intervals). You can manage schedules with /d6e schedule list, pause, resume, and delete.
File handling
When you attach files to a message mentioning @d6e, the bot downloads and processes them as part of the workflow. If a workflow produces file output (such as PDF reports or spreadsheets), the bot uploads the files directly to the relevant Slack thread.
How to get started
Install the app
Click the "Add to Slack" button below to install the D6E bot into your Slack workspace. Then, link your Slack account in the d6e.ai account settings page.
Connect your D6E instance
Run /d6e setup <client-id> <workspace-id> in any channel to link the bot to your D6E instance and set your workspace at once. You can find both IDs in your D6E workspace settings page.
Configure additional channels
Use /d6e workspace <workspace-id> in other channels to set different workspaces. You can also run /d6e setup with only the client-id if you prefer to set the workspace separately.
Run workflows
Mention @d6e followed by what you want in natural language. Example: "@d6e Create an invoice PDF" or "@d6e Summarize this month's sales report". The AI will understand your intent and execute the appropriate workflow automatically.

Permissions
The D6E Slack app requests the following permissions: reading messages when mentioned, reading thread and channel history for conversation context, sending messages, running slash commands, and sharing files. Thread history is used to understand conversation context when you mention @d6e — we only access data necessary to respond to your requests.
AI Disclaimer
D6E uses Large Language Model (LLM) technology to interpret your natural language requests and generate responses. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. Always verify important information before making decisions based on AI-generated output.
Data handling
D6E does not use Slack workspace data to train AI models. Conversation context (thread history) is accessed only in real time to process your current request and is not retained for model training purposes. Your data is processed on a per-tenant basis and is not shared across organizations.
